When first established, MEG was only involved in managing construction services for small to medium scale plantation projectts. In due course and in line with the growth of our business, in 2003 MEG began to handle palm oil factory construction, land leveling and construction of wastewater ponds for large-scale plantation projects with areas of 2,000 hectares.
Toward the end of 2008, MEG entered into mining construction business, starting with the mining project of Karya Utama Tambang Co. Ltd. in Kuala Labai, Ketapang. This was soon followed by the 2010 project of Harita Prima Abadi Mineral Co. Ltd. in Air Upas, Ketapang, which is a current ongoing project.
Along with our growing number of clients and our ever-expanding capabilities, MEG continues to add to our fleet of heavy equipment with bulldozers, excavators, dump trucks, and other large machineries. In addition, we are now leasing an increasing amount of heavy equipment to other companies. In line with these developments, MEG has now opened a rental services division to manage the rental of dump trucks and other heavy equipment.
In order to support our core business and as part of our business expansion, MEG has also begun development of a general trading business for the sale of spare parts for heavy machinery, agriculture and safety equipment.
